The Public Security Complex of the State of Chihuahua is located southeast of the city a few kilometers from downtown Chihuahua, on Federal Highway No. 16 Chihuahua - Ojinaga.
The complex developed in an estate of 63 hectares, is articulated through an axis perpendicular to the road, that divides the complex into a public area and another of restricted access, having a total of 23 hectares built.
The buildings of the Police Academy, parallel to the main axis, form a central space, topped at one end by the Shooting Pavilion and, on the other, by the Main Square, taking advantage of the slope that opens a perspective on the southern valley of the city.
By extending the topography to the exterior of the Complex, the buildings of the Dormitories and the teachers area rise and step out to form a 400-meter-long façade on the adjoining road.
In the first stage, the buildings of the State Police Academy (dormitories, classrooms, direction and Shooting pavilion), Public Security, Forensic Medical Service and Criminalistics Laboratory, as well as the C4 (Control Computing and Communication Center) were built; In successive stages, others were added such as the State Attorney's Office, Judicial Police, Sex Crimes, Auditorium, Gymnasium, Cafeteria, Library and Nursing.
The exterior areas - plazas, walkways and gardens - are resolved by means of retaining walls, slopes, gabions, natural terrain areas and areas with grass.
Different types of concrete and textures, as well as found geometries and other reticulated ones, give unity to the complex, while generating spaces of sociability and rest.
